  • Age Range (parent ratings): 2-18 years
  • Age Range (teacher ratings): 5-18 years
  • Time: Approximately 10-15 minutes (for both Parent and Teacher ratings)
  • Restricted Use: Level B- requires that the user has completed graduate-level courses in tests and measurement at a university or has received equivalent documented training.

The CAB is an objective, comprehensive, highly-reliable behavior rating, which is closely aligned to the diagnostic criteria in IDEA and the DSM-IV-TR. It identifies children and adolescents in need of behavioral, educational or psychiatric treatment intervention.

The CAB offers a balanced framework of both competence-based qualities and problem-based concerns, making it useful for evaluating adaptive strengths and clinical clusters.

Three separate rating forms are included with the CAB. The Parent and Teacher Rating Forms each have 70 items, while the Extended Parent Rating Form has 170 items. The unlimited-use CAB Scoring Program (CAB-SP) calculates raw scores, T-scores and percentiles for all scales and clusters, and generates a complete Score Report and Profile. Requires Windows 95/NT 4.0 with Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, Windows 98/Me/2000/XP; and standard CD-ROM drive for installation, Internet connection or telephone for software activation.

The complete CAB includes CAB-SP, a Manual, and 25 each of the Parent, Teacher and Extended Parent Rating Forms.
