Introducing the Alto 0.5mm Narrow Channel Brain Matrices

We have pushed technology to the limit to give researchers the opportunity to dissect rodent brains into thin 0.5mm coronal or sagittal slices using matrices.

Highest Quality—Made of high-quality stainless steel—harder than zinc, aluminum, and acrylic—Alto matrices will last longer withstanding repeated cleaning and autoclave sterilizing cycles, and can be used in experiments involving frozen tissues.

Multiple Uses—Alto matrices are ideal for producing sections for pharmacokinetic studies using the brain slice uptake method; for dissecting discrete regions of a rodent’s brain for biochemical analysis of various substances; and for the accurate blocking of organs for microtome sectioning.

Highly Accurate—The strong stainless steel material firmly drives the cutting blade providing the accuracy needed for your research.

Superfine—State-of-the-art manufacturing ensures the Alto 1.0mm matrices have the narrowest channels separated by the finest walls on the market enabling you to dissect your sample into really fine slices that are up to 30% thinner than previously achievable with nominal 1.0mm matrices.
